IT TAKES
A VILLAGE...
Staplehurst has evolved to offer a holistic lifestyle. All the hallmarks of a classic
village remain – a friendly community, a village hall, an annual fête, three
churches and a pub – yet there are everyday amenities that nurture, entertain
and delight.
On a practical note, there is a GP surgery and a dentist, a library, pre-schools,
playgroups and a primary school, supermarket, convenience stores, family-run
specialty shops and even a vineyard in the village. In addition are a number
of sports and social groups – take a yoga class, learn tai chi or try kick boxing
without leaving the parish boundary.
One of Staplehurst’s greatest assets, however, is its mainline train station.
From here, London Bridge is less than an hour’s commute, before stopping
at Waterloo East and Charing Cross. The Kentish coast awaits in the other
direction – Folkestone, Deal and Ramsgate – where traditional seaside charm
meets artistic creativity.
“C ountryside living
at its finest.”
